Tawny Owl (2005-6)

I have always been fascinated by owls and have featured them in my work before. This image shows a tawny owl and, like much of my recent work, it is set at night. This engraving has had a rather long history. I started to engrave the block towards the end of 2005 but then set it aside while I carried on with more pressing matters. I completed it during the autumn of 2006.
This small but highly detailed engraving has an image size of 36 x 32 mm. It is printed onto Zerkall paper using an 1865 Albion Handpress in an edition of 100 signed and numbered artist's prints.
As with all of my work, this image was engraved and printed by me in my studio in the rural fenlands of Cambridgeshire. All work was done in the old-fashioned way and to the best of my ability as you will see when you hold this work in your own hands.
This print is for sale at £30. this includes packing and postage to anywhere in the world. I accept Paypal.
