Giverny (Monet's Garden)
I have visited the wonderful reconstruction of Monet's garden at Giverny twice. On both occasions, I was overwhelmed by the garden and found lots to inspiremy work. My first "Giverny" engraving is now out of print but there are several others here to tempt you. Five of them can be purchased together as a set, as well as individual. Prints are approximately the size that they appear on screen. Sizes are given in mm. There are about 25mm to the inch.
Monet's Gardeners
French gardening can be very labour intensive and I was interested to watch these gardeners lifting plants to store over the winter. This enraving suggested itself on the spot but it took four years - and another visit - before I completed it. It ius a tribute to the workers who maintain the garden. It was "Critics Choice" at the Cambridge drawing Society annual exhibition.

Alliums are one of my favourite flowers and I loved the examples that I saw at Giverny.

Giverny: Wisteria
Everyone familar with Monet's garden will know of the Japanese bridges. This is my favourite, especially when it is covered in a glorious display of wisteria flowers. This is the first print in the Giverny Portfolio".

Close to the house, there are beds of forget-me-nots with tulips growing through them. This is the second print in the "Giverny Portfolio".

Giverny: Bridges
This engraving - the third in the "Giverny Portfolio", shows one bridge grimpsed from the other. The famous waterlilies can be seen in the lake between the two.

The engravings that the portfolio contains all have the same number from the separate editions of 100. The cost is GBP150. A deluxe portfolio is also available in which the prints are contained in a "hardback" folder, handmade by the artist, which looks very good in a bookcase or library shelf. A photograph will follow. The price of the deluxe Giverny Portfolio is GBP180.
