The Brothers Series
I have always looked for subjects that are close to me and so it is not really suprising that my family
have figured prominently over the years. This series of prints has grown over many years. I am
planning a book that will contain all of these images, together, perhaps, with a few more.

Pathway
The first in the series - our sons walking along a Suffolk lane towards the sea.

The Fossil Collectors
This remains a most important image for me. It shows my sons posing for a scene that
actually represents me and my big brother before he was tragically killed at the age of ten.

Planting Pingle Wood
The people of our village raised money to buy a small pasture and planted a wood there.
The boys are in the foreground ; my wife is the figure at the right in the centre.
The wood is growing up nicely now; I walk past or through it almost every day.

Here is another Christmas image, set in a lane that winds its way towards Ely.
This was the first time I featured the medieval cathedral in the background of an engraving.
The figure entering the print from the bottom right corner owes something to the work of Carel Weight.

"Walking On Water" ~ Crossing The Flooded Fields At Dusk
This is one of my largest engravings. It was engraved for "Walking On Water" a print portfolio
published by the State University of New York (SUNY). Before the Fens were drained, local
people used stilts to go about the flooded land. By now, my younger son was taller than me!
