Description
"Lark" is a very small wood engraving but it is one of my favourites. It was engraved for the Barbarian Press edition of "Venus and Adonis". Its shows a lark in flight with "Bromlow Callow", a tree-topped hill in Shropshire, in the background.
This image measure just 20 x 50mm. It was printed from my original hand-engraved woodblock, using an Albion handpress made in 1865.
