The Cat's Favourite Tree

The cat in this small wood engraving has chosen this old apple tree as its favourite place to sharpen its claws. It was engraved by hand and printed using a Victorian handpress in an edition of 100 original prints.
The image measures 5 x 5cm (2 x 2 inches) and it is printed on a piece of smooth printmaking paper a little smaller than A5.
