I Can See You Mister Hare

This is a small but very detailed wood engraving, the image measures 72 x 53mm (approx. 3 x 2 inches).

I watched this hare near to the studio during Spring. I saw him in a barley field and as the crop grew higher, I saw less of him. Finally, I saw him one day peeping out over the barley and decided to engrave him like that, with Ely cathedral in the background.

This is an original artist's print, pulled directly from the original engraved woodblock by the artist, using an 1865 Albion handpress.
