The New Stile

"The New Style" is a small wood engraving.
I often pass this style when walking along a lane near the studio. Climbing over the style leads to a path through a small wood.
It was engraved by hand and printed using a Victorian handpress in an edition of 100 original prints.
The engraving measures 5 x 5cm (2 x 2 inches) and it is printed on a piece of smooth printmaking paper approx. 18 x 13cm (maximum size)
